Kaduna State Workers Donate House to Colleague to Encourage Commitment

Workers of the Kaduna State Geographic Information System KADGIS have constructed a 2 Bedroom flat and donated same to a Physically Challenged Colleague so as to relocate him from Anchau in Kubau Local Government to Millennium City in Kaduna town.

At the handing over Ceremony which took place at the building site in Millennium City, the State Governor, Mallam Nasiru Elrufai who was visibility happy over the gesture applauded the workers and urged others to emulate what KADGIS has done.

The governor told the contractor handling the project to forward estimated cost for the remaining finishing touches of the flat to him for completion.

In her Explanation, Director General of KADGIS Mrs. Altine Jibrin stated that the beneficiary of the house, Mallam Sagir Mohammed is a diligent staff who though physically challenged was not deterred from discharging his duties effectively at work.

She said the workers took decision to build the house for their colleague because every week he leaves his family in Anchau for work in Kaduna town and then gets back home at the weekend which is a very difficult task for a person with such a challenge.

Mrs. Altine Jibrin emphasized that at the inception of the project a staff of the organization donated One million naira which became a moral booster for others and also and indication that workers can be each other brothers keeper.

Receiving the donation, Mallam Sagir Mohammed gave thanks to the staff and also the Kaduna state Governor Mallam Nasiru El’rufai for his support to workers in the state and also for being present to witness the event.
