FEC Approves N36b For Rehabilitation Of Keffi-Nasarawa Road

The 118-kilometre Keffi-Nasarawa-Toto raod in Nasarawa State is to be rehabilitated at the cost of over 36 billion Naira.

Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, who stated this, said the Federal Executive Council, FEC, had approved the memorandum to that effect.

FEC also approved the augmentation of contract for the construction of the National Digital Innovation and entrepreneurship Centre in Abuja.

According to the memorandum, the initial cost was over 9 billion Naira, but the rising prices of critical materials prompted the revision of the prices.

FEC also approved the concession and re-development of the Farmers’ Market belonging to the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority.

The Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Sulaiman Adamu, explained that the market comprised of a 100 shops, handed over to the authority by the defunct National Livestock Production Company.

He explained that the programme had started with pilot projects in Sokoto, Upper Niger, Ogbomosho, and the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authorities.
