4 Prominent Nigerians to Receive Honorary doctorate decrees

Four ẹminent Nigerians are to be conferred with honourary doctorate decrees by the Federal University of Technology FUT Minna in Niger state during its convocation ceremony.

The distinguished Nigerians are Former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar retired Group Managing Director NNPC Malam Mele Kolo Kyari President African Development Bank Dr Akinwumi Adesina and Chairman BUA Group Abdul samad Rabiu.

Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna Prof Abdullahi Bala stated this while addressing Newsmen on the thirty eighth Founders Day and thirtieth Convocation Ceremony of FUT Minna.

Prof Abdullahi Bala said this is in recognition of their contributions to national development.

According to him the university considers these ẹminent Nigerians as role models worthy of emulation and hence the decision to honour them.

Prof Abdullahi Bala further explained that twenty three number projects are to be commissioned during the event by Minister of Aducation Malam Adamu Adamu Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state and Executive Secretary NUC Prof Abubakar Rasheed among others.

He said a total of five thousand and fourty nine graduands will be awarded degrees and diplomas of the number he said three thousand eight hundred and ninety two will recieve first degrees.

Prof Abdullahi Bala however added that fifty eight of them obtained first class degrees and nine hundtred and fourty eight second class upper division while two thousand and fourty seven are in second class lower division.
