The late Malami Buwai

Former Minister of Agriculture during the Administration of Late General Sani Abacha, Dr. Malami Buwai is dead.

He died today following a prolonged illness at his hometown, Gusau the Zamfara State capital.

Dr. Buwai is survived by one wife, 15 Children and 10 Grandchildren.

Among his children is Alhaji Shehu Malami, Businessman.

Late Malami Buwai who was born in the year 1945 has been laid to rest in a cemetery in Gusau after a funeral prayer led by Chief Imam of Gusau Emirate, Liman Dan-Alhaji Sambo and was attended by the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle; Deputy Governor, Barr. Mahadi Aliyu, top government officials, religious leaders among others.

Until his death, Malami is a former All farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Gusau Chapter and was a high scale farmer.
