Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu says state governments are now better funded under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He stated this during a flag-off of the sale of food items at a subsidized rates in Bodinga Local Government Area of the State.
The governor said the sale of affordable food initiative introduced by his administration was aimed at ensuring rural dwellers and junior civil servants have access to essential food items at affordable prices.
According to him, state governments now have more funds that enables them to execute meaningful projects and programmes that have direct bearing to the lives of people in the State.
He noted that all the developmental projects the state is executing are the results of the adequate funding by the Federal Government.
He commended President Tinubu’s economic policies aimed at putting the country on the right track, describing them as one of the best things that happened to Nigerians.
