President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the re-election of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria.
President Tinubu, who congratulated Governor Adeleke on his victory in the just-concluded governorship election, urged him to unite the people of the state and focus on their growth, stability and socio-economic development.
The President also commended other contestants for their courage and discipline, saying their participation had further strengthened the country’s democratic culture.
He described the outcome of the election as a reflection of the will of the people and called on Governor Adeleke to provide inclusive leadership for all residents of Osun State, irrespective of their political choices.
President Tinubu further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
