Jigawa State Executive Council has approved additional works for the construction of the State Mechanisation Company headquarters building in Dutse, at a cost of over 155.3 million naira, bringing the total contract sum to over 906 million naira.

The State Commissioner Information, Youth, Sports and Culture Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed stated this to newsmen at government house Dutse.

He said, the approval by the council is in line with Governor Namadi’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector through enhanced mechanisation services and the provision of modern infrastructure
that will improve operational efficiency, coordination, and agricultural service
delivery across the state.

He further explained that, the new mechanisation headquarters building is expected to serve as a central hub for the planning, administration, monitoring, and implementation of mechanisation programmes and initiatives.

Alhaji Sagir Musa said, the facility will provide adequate office accommodation and modern working spaces for technical and administrative personnel responsible for advancing agricultural mechanisation Statewide.

According to him, the council expressed confidence that the project will contribute significantly to the achievement of the State’s agricultural transformation agenda by providing the necessary institutional framework for effective mechanisation management and service delivery.
