Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has condoled with the people of Shiroro Local Government Council over banditry attacks on Erena, Bagna, and Yelwa communities that claimed lives, destroyed homes and livelihoods.
In a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor describes the renewed attacks as heinous and callous.

Mohammed Umar Bago condemns in totality the attacks, saying that it is indeed a setback to the government’s efforts on security, saying that “These renewed attacks on our people are heart wrenching, and deeply sympathise with the entire people of Shiroro and most especially the affected communities over the unfortunate and unwarranted attacks on them”.
“I want to assure you that you are not alone , I share in your pains as well as losses”, he added.
The Governor, while commending the joint security team for mobilising and engaging the bandits,also condoles with families of those that paid the supreme price.
He asserts that his administration will never surrender to bandits and that support to security agencies will continue to be prioritised for improved and proactive security operations across the state.
