The Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly and Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, says hẹ has received with profound sadness the news of the passing of Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Ankwai.

Describing the development as shocking and deeply painful, Sarkin Daji noted that the late Ankwai was a distinguished legislator and a selfless leader whose contributions to legislative governance and democratic development will not be forgotten.

Barr, Abdulmalik Sarkin daji explained that the demise of the Speaker Kebbi State House of Assembly, is not only a loss to the State, but a significant setback to the entire legislative institution in Nigeria, considering the late Ankwai’s dedication, experience, and commitment to public service.

Hẹ however extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Kebbi State, the leadership and members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, and the immediate family of the deceased, urging them to find comfort in the impactful life and enduring legacy of service left behind by the late lawmaker.

Barrister, Sarkin Daji prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give those affected the fortitude to bear the loss.
