The Kaduna State Government has congratulated the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, describing the organisation as a symbol of unity and a pillar of national development.

Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, conveyed the message through the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, in a statement made available to journalists in Kaduna.

The statement noted that for over seven decades, FRCN has remained a steadfast institution in promoting national unity and strengthening democratic values across the country.

“Through impactful and far-reaching programming, the Corporation has bridged divides, amplified diverse voices, and fostered a shared national identity across every region of our country,” the statement said.

It added that FRCN’s enduring commitment to informing, educating, and uniting Nigerians stands as a testament to the vital role of public service broadcasting.

The Kaduna State Government commended the Corporation’s resilience and its ability to remain relevant in an ever-evolving media landscape.

It also urged FRCN to further strengthen its position as a trusted source of information by promoting value-driven content, shaping positive societal norms, and intensifying efforts to combat misinformation and fake news.

The government expressed confidence in the Corporation’s capacity to meet contemporary challenges and deepen its impact as a unifying force and a guardian of credible information.

The statement reaffirmed Kaduna State’s commitment to continued collaboration and support for FRCN in the pursuit of its mandate.

It concluded by congratulating the Board, Management, and Staff of FRCN on the milestone, expressing hope that the Corporation’s legacy of truth, unity, and national progress would endure for generations to come.
