Three tiers of government in the country have been urged to ensure effective implementation of the Poverty Alleviation Programme to achieve desired objectives.
An elderly widow, Hajiya Fatima Kabir made the appeal in a Radio Nigeria Kaduna programme “Tauraranmu” this morning.
Hajiya Fatima Kabir who sells food in Kaduna was concerned over lack of adequate capital for her daily business despite efforts to sustain the family.
She expressed hope that vulnerable people nationwide would be assisted in their various trades to facilitate socio-economic development promised by the political leadership.
Hajiya Fatima Kabir who vowed to continue with the business advised the people particularly youths and women to engage in meaningful business for their sustenance rather than depend on free money usually provided by politicians.
