The Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the National Population Commission-NPC, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi has emphasized the need for digital birth and death registration for national development.

She stated this when she visited Chikun and Igabi LGAs as part of her state-wide sensitization campaign on the forthcoming National Population and housing census.

 

Represented by her technical assistant, Malam Inuwa Jatau, the federal commissioner explained that the visit was aimed at highlighting the importance of census, share preparation updates and seek community support.

In their separate remarks, Chairman of Chikun LGA and his counterpart in Igabi LGA, Salasi Nuhu Musa and Sani Abdul Zangon Aya lauded the initiative and pledged their total support and partnership for the success of the exercise.

The management team of the NPC was led on the visit by the State Director of the Commission, Mr Danjuma John Audu.
