Kwara State Government says it will adopt a comprehensive and multi -pronged approach in addressing emerging security challenges and curb the menace in the state.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Mamman Saba Jibril stated this while welcoming participants of the Senior Course 47 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, who are currently on a study tour of Kwara State.
He noted that while the state has long been regarded as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, it is not immune to the growing security threats affecting some parts of the country.

Professor Saba emphasized that the state government was proactively deploying a range of strategies to address the challenges.
He explained that the state government’s approach to security included strengthening community policing, investing in surveillance technology, and fostering inter-agency collaboration among others .
The SSG urged the visiting team to make full use of available resources to gather valuable data that could contribute to addressing security challenges not only in Kwara but across the country.
In his response, the team leader, Colonel Mohammed, expressed hope that the team would have access to adequate data to enable them develop actionable recommendations to enhance both state and national security.
