A shari’a court sitting in Kano, presided over by Justice Umar Lawal Abubakar, has docked one Abdulkadir Musa, for allegedly stealing 12 pairs of rubber slippers worth N18,000.

The defendant, who lives in Fagge Quarters Kano is charged with theft.

The Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Abdullahi Wada, told the court that, the complainant, Sunusi Mamuda who also reside at Fagge Quarters, reported the matter at Fagge Police Station, Kano, on June 30th.

Wada alleged that on, the said date, at 06:30 p.m, the defendant stole his 12 pairs of rubber slippers worth N18,000.

He noted that, the defendant works in the complainant’s shop at Kwari market, where he stole the slippers.

The defendant, however, pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, admitted him on bail in the sum of N10,000.

He adjourned the case till July 18th for summary trial.
