National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in collaboration with Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), distributed relief materials to over 250 Victims of Fire and Flood Disaster in the State.

NEMA Coordinator Kano/Jigawa Territorial Office, Dr Nuradeen Abdullahi, made the donation as Part of the Federal Government’s
Effort, to support the Victims of disasters across the Country.

Dr. Nurudeen, who was represented by NEMA Kano Head of Account, Rilwan Isma’il, urged beneficiaries to make Judicious use of the items.

In a remark ,the Executive Secretery SEMA, Dr Saleh Aliyu Jili,said the Relief items were meant to bring Succour to the Victims.

He explained that, the materials included, Maize 100kg,Roofing Sheets,Nylon Mat,Blankets,Mattresses, Toiletries,Clothing materials and among other Items.

“The Victims were affected by Fire that burnt their Houses and Flood in 2022″ Jili said.

Jili urged Members of the Public, especially Women using Firewood and Charcoal, to handle fire with care and always switch off their Electrical Appliances whenever they were going out or going to bed, to avoid Inferno.

Also Speaking the, the Danburan of Karaye Muhammad Mahdi Ibrahim, described the donation as a tremendous achievement, that would go a long way in alleviating Suffering among Victims.

“It is timely and i wish that apart from the national all levels would help the masses affected by disasters”he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Beneficiaries, Malam Muhammad Zakari, Commended the Agency for the kind gesture.
