The Police Authority in Kaduna State has confirmed last night’s attacks by terrorists in Ungwar Wakili Community of Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Confirming the incident on phone to Radio Nigeria, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammed Jalige said that the security forces were on top of the situation.

He explained that from the briefing received from the Area Commander, trouble started a couple of days ago between a herder and locals in the area which led to the death of the herder, and the Police have been trying to manage the situation before the recent attack.

DSP Jalige said a joint security team would be combing the bushes in the area to search for bodies of those who lost their lives as well as apprehend the suspects that were responsible for the killings.

We are on top of the situation and all the hoodlums responsible would be rounded up,” he assured.

According to him, Repelling the hoodlums was a tedious task for the security agencies, but they were successful as the terrorists scampered away from the scene,

Radio Nigeria gathered that Seventeen lifeless bodies have been recovered from the scene of the incident.

Chairman of the Local Government Area through his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yabo Chris Ephraim had since announced a Twenty Four Hour Curfew in the surrounding Communities.
