Ram sellers at Tudun Sebu market in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have expressed concern over low patronage by customers this year.

The report says despite the low prices of rams, the demand is very low.

Speaking to Radio Nigeria, the Sarkin Kara (Leader) of Tundun Sebu Ram market Malam Sule Muhammad Sani explained that the price of rams starting from thirty thousand and above is considered affordable to low-income earners.

Mal Sule Sani said the prices were quite different from last year, but attributed to the economic hardship faced by Nigerians as one of the factors for the low demand ” actually, the patronage is low compared to previous years.

The Sarkin Kara called on the Soba Local Government Council and Kaduna State Government to reconstruct the market to compete with others across the state.

He pointed out that during the rainy season, activities of the market were usually disrupted.

A buyer narrated how low the prices of rams this year are but noted that money is scarce in circulation while calling on authorities to bring out policies and programs that will boost economic activities to reduce the hardship experienced by citizens.
