Former Senator from Zamfara State, Alhaji Kabiru Garba Marafa has called on Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to support farmers with farming inputs for bumper harvest.

Senator Kabiru Marafa made the call in Maradun Local Government Area while addressing loyalists and factional party executives ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Represented by his spokes person Bello Soja Bakyasuwa, Marafa said the gathering was aimed at showing solidarity, support and alliance as well as contributing toward the development of the state and the country at large.

According to him, the call became imperative considering challenges which denied farmers from actively participating in farming practices and have resulted in low yields while advocating for modern equipment and Mechanised farming.

In a welcome address, the former Chairman of Maradun Local Government and Party Chairman of the Kabiru Marafa’s faction, Sani Muhammad Kaya said Marafa loyalists were trustworthy, firm and stuck to their political interest without compromises.

He, therefore, called on the recognized party leaders to carry everybody along and rural dwellers need to be considered for any political activity.

“We have never regretted the reconciliation between Marafa’s faction and that of Yari’s because they treated us equally. And I therefore used this avenue to draw the attention of Governor Bello Matawalle’s party leaders to emulate Yari’s loyalists in dealing with Sen.Marafa’s loyalists”. Sani Kaya narrated

He also said all the 32 dissolved Maradun Local Government party executive including ten wards chairmen of Sen. Marafa have surrendered and joint the reconciliation train.

Responding, Maradun Local Government Sole Administrator Umar Mu’azu Faru expressed appreciation for the achievements and unity brought by the reconciliation.
