Adamawa state government has sworn-in 21 newly elected local government chairmen for another period of two years.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri tasked the newly elected chairmen to carry everybody along in the implementation of all the good policies and programs of the government.

The Governor who declared intention to contest again, also commended the efforts of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission for conducting a hitch free and fair local government election in the state.

He further explained that, his administration was fully committed towards the transformation of Adamawa state into a new model state in Nigeria.

The state chairman of the party, A T shehu implored all the newly elected chairmen to kindly include people in all their programmes, as a step towards strengthening the party in the coming election.

He further urged the entire party supporters for more support in order to sustain the leadership beyond 2023.

The chairman, expressed appreciation to the entire party stakeholders for ensuring a successful conduct of the local government poll, also commended Dr. Idi Hong, a former Minister of Health for defecting back to PDP.

In a similar development, Senator Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow the former Governor of the state, has declared to recontest for Governor in the coming 2023 election.
