Niger state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP is to adopt new strategy that would guarantee and provide central role for members of the political party in both decision making process and governance.

This is with a view to institutionalising internal democracy that will make the party more purposeful and result oriented.

Chairman of the party Barrister Tanko Beji said this while addressing Newsmen in Minna.

Barrister Tanko Beji said the period of imposition of candidate and taken decision unilaterally on matters that affect PDP was over because they have done it before without achieving any tangeable result.

He said under the new arrangement PDP in Niger state would continue to be guided by the principle, probity, accountability and above all transparency in the discharge of its duties for maximum benefits.

On his recent victory at the court Barrister Tanko Beji described it as a victory for democracy that would further strenghen their resolve to do more.

He however advised members of the party to close ranks and work as a team for the unity and success of PDP in future elections.

Barrister Tanko Beji however maintained that PDP remained the only viable alternative for Nigerians and stressed the need for party members to eschew bitterness and work collectively to actualise their dreams.
