The federal government has Reaffirmed it’s determination in enhancing safe care guidelines in all parts of the Nation.
The Director Reproductive Health, Federal Ministry of Health Dr. kayode Afolabi stated this when he lead a team of Government officials and Development partners who paid a working visit to Kano state the Commissioner for Health Dr Aminu ibrahim tsanyawa in his office.
Dr kayode AFolabi explained that the minister of Health has inaugurated a task force to look at the emphasis of self Care Guidelines,its importance in improving access to care and uptake of interventions on the healthcare service.
He said upon Deliberations and report the safe care guidelines was Approved by the minister of health, which have for thematic areas geared towards looking at critical areas where higher burden of deceased were been recorded .
” We refer to our safe care guidelines as the national guidelines for safe care for sexual, Reproductive,and maternal Health. While the fouth thematic area include areas that looked at improving ante natal care, delivery,and new born care”
Dr Kayode AFolabi noted that another key thematic areas was providing high quality services for Family planning , Post Abortion care and combating sexually transmission infections .
The Director maintained that the Ministry was also working tirelessly in creating awareness and channels of accessing self care ,aimed at uplifting the health Status of the General populace.
“What we expect from the state Government is to approve and support the goal of expanding access to self care across all the local Government Areas of the state”
In a remark the Country Director of Pathfinder international Dr Amina Aminu Dorayi said adopting the safe guidelines was a way forward in addressing numerous health challenges in Kano state.
” Creating awareness and interventions to the general populace would help immensely in achieving maximum Success in the safe guidelines program”
Responding the Kai state Commissioner for Health Dr Aminu ibrahim tsanyawa explained that the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was working tirelessly in upgrading primary Health care facilities in all the local Government Areas of the State.
He noted that Kano State Government has renovated over 500 health facilities in the state,geared towards having a condusive atmosphere for Health Workers as well as easy Access of Health care services by patients .
Dr Aminu ibrahim tsanyawa Aplauded federal Governments support ,stressing that the safe guidelines intervention was a positive Development in uplifting health Status of the General populace.

Dr. Sakina Amin Bello,Hauwa Usman .
