Zamfara state government has taken serious measures to address the issue of security challenges bedeviling the state and beyond.

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle made this known at a press briefing held at government house Gusau, the state capital.

The Governor who directed the total closure of all the weekly markets across the state said that, all motorcycles should operate between six in the morning to six in the evening in all the local government areas of the state except Gusau local government which is between 6:00am to 8:00pm, and failure to comply may result to shoot on sight.

He also ordered that no motorcycle was allowed to carry three person and tricycles popularly called keke napep are to remain uncovered, banned the sale of fuel in jerry cans and containers.

According to him all places where beers, hard drugs and other chemical substances are being sold in the state should immediately be closed adding that a task force committee will soon be inaugurated for the enforcement of the laws.
