The Federal Fire Service has commended Philanthropist Malam Magaji Umar Dan Aljanna for sponsoring the construction of a modern conference hall for its Zaria station.
The Kaduna State Controller of the Federal Fire Service, DCF Aminu Amadu, gave the commendation during the foundation-laying ceremony for the project in Zaria.

DCF Amadu said interventions from residents, particularly philanthropists such as Dan Aljanna, had contributed significantly to the Service’s efforts to prevent,control fire outbreaks and respond to other emergencies.
He said such support had helped the Service protect lives and property worth millions of naira from destruction.
The Controller called on wealthy individuals, politicians and other members of the public to emulate Dan Aljanna by supporting the Fire Service with the resources required to effectively protect lives and property.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Zaria Local Government Council, Engineer Jamilu Ahmad Muhammad, commended the Fire Service for its commitment to protecting lives and property in Zaria and neighbouring communities.
He assured that the council, in collaboration with residents, would continue to support the Service with modern equipment to enhance its operations.
In a remark Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, represented by the Garkuwan Ayyukan Zazzau, Engineer Balarabe Musa, appreciated Dan Aljanna for undertaking the project.
Speaking on the project, Malam Magaji Umar Dan Aljanna explained that he sponsored construction of the modern conference hall to strengthen the Fire Service and boost the morale of its personnel.
According to Dan-Aljanna the gesture was motivated by the importance of the Service’s role in protecting lives and property from fire outbreaks and other emergencies.
The Pilantrophist urged firefighters to sustain their commitment and dedication to protecting communities from fire disasters and other emergencies capable of causing loss of lives and property.
He stressed the need for wealthy individuals and members of the public to support the Fire Service with equipment and other resources to enable it effectively discharge its responsibilities.
The foundation-laying ceremony, held at the Federal Fire Service station in Zaria, was attended by senior security officials, traditional rulers, community leaders and other members of the public.
