Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, has charged the 23 Special Advisers to Governor Nasir Idris to prepare for the challenges ahead as the country approaches the general elections.

Alhaji Yakubu gave the charge in Zuru during a meeting with the 23 Special Advisers to the governor.

The commissioner emphasised the need for the advisers to be prepared to face emerging challenges, particularly what he described as the growing desperation of opposition political actors in Kebbi State.

He added that, the opposition whose stock in trade had been to engage in scaremongering through acts of deliberate misinformation and barefaced lies in an attempt to corner power by all means necessary.

While commending them for their courage and hard work in the last three years, also charged them to be fair, firm and fearless as they project and publicize the unprecedented achievements of Governor Nasir Idris.

According to him, the team of the advocacy whose visited Zuru were the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Alhaji Yahaya Sarki; the Special Adviser on Communications Strategy, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Zuru; the Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment and Orientation, Alhaji Ibrahim A. Jombali; the Special Adviser on New Media, Alhaji Aliyu Bandado and Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

This is the first leg of the advocacy visit as the team intends to pay similar visit to Argungu, Yauri and Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi State
