Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has described the member representing Hadejia, Auyo and Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency as the worst representative ever produced by the constituency.
He made the remark while receiving a delegation from Auyo Local Government Area on a solidarity visit to the Government House in Dutse.
The governor stated that no meaningful development project had been executed by the lawmaker in Auyo, Hadejia and Kafin Hausa during his eleven years of representation.
Malam Umar Namadi further alleged that the member is among those who rarely participate in legislative activities at the National Assembly.
He thanked the people of Auyo Local Government Area for the visit and pledged to continue executing people-oriented projects across the area.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Auyo, said they were at the Government House to reaffirm their loyalty to Governor Umar Namadi and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alhaji Garba Auyo stated that Auyo Local Government Area has witnessed significant developmental projects under the present administration.
According to him, the projects include the establishment of the area’s first boarding technical college, as well as the construction of roads, schools and health facilities.
He also dissociated the people of the area from what he described as recent misleading statements made by the lawmaker.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Auyo, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced his resignation from the party and his defection to the APC.
He said the decision was informed by his support for Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership and expressed confidence in the governor’s re-election bid and the success of other APC candidates in advancing the state’s development.
