As the twenty twenty five twenty twenty six Nigeria Premier Football League-NPFL ends this Sunday, the Chairman Niger Tornadoes Football Club, Engineer Ibrahim Dada has expressed confidence that the team will win its last match against the Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium Minna, to escape relegation and remain in the Premier league.
Niger Tornadoes presently occupy the eighteenth position with forty five points trying to move out from the relegation waters with a win while Shooting Stars of Ibadan is third on the table with sixty points seeking for a Continental ticket also desperate to win the match.
Chairman Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, Engineer Ibrahim Dada who stated this in a telephone interview with Radio Nigeria in Minna, said they are doing everything possible to win the Sunday match in Minna to remain focus and relevant.
The Chairman Niger Tornadoes Football Club who is also the current All Progressives Congress APC candidate for the Bosso Paikoro Federal Constituency in Niger state, said they have embark on sensitization campaign to educate the fans on the dangers of engaging in violence and throwing of objects during the last match, and advised them to be patient and peaceful.
On the support by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to the club, Engineer Ibrahim Dada said Niger state Government has been very supportive, stressing that the support was hundred percent, while insisting that no individual within and outside the state has brought single Kobo to the club in terms of private sector support and called for more from the state Government to succeed.
He however added that they are not resting on their oars as they are talking to some agencies on the need to invest in sport to enhance its development to achieve the desired objective.
