The Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared that the party is targeting 1.5 million registered members across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the party’s first expanded Joint Executive Committee meeting held in Kaduna.

The Chairman said the NDC had fully established structures across the 255 wards and 23 local government areas of the state.
The meeting was attended by state executive members, zonal officers, ward and local government chairmen, as well as governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and Kaduna State House of Assembly aspirants.
The chairman described the NDC as a “fresh political party” committed to collective progress and national development.
He said the NDC was determined to provide what he called “genuine hope” to Nigerians and assured members that the party was operating within the law and free from internal crises.
The chairman disclosed that the party would unveil its Kaduna State secretariat within five days, noting that the party had quietly built a strong grassroots structure across the state.
He also urged intending members to register with the party, adding that membership card distribution would soon begin, especially for those who registered online.
Hon.Modecai Ibrahim announced a new membership target of 1,500 members per ward, up from the previous target of 500, saying the goal was to reach 1.5 million members in Kaduna State by October 31.
In a remak the governorship Aspirant of the party in Kaduna Alhaji Ibrahim Hussain Abdul Karim pledge to give youth priority on empowerment, skills acquisition and education.

He stressed the need to creating expansion of Agricultural infrastructure and bringing a sustainable unity among all religious and cultural diversity.
The chairman further directed members joining the NDC from other political parties to submit resignation letters from their former parties before becoming eligible to contest elections or hold party offices.
He acknowledged that the party, being relatively new, might not yet have the financial strength of established ruling parties, but appealed to members to make sacrifices to help build and strengthen the NDC.
The Party Chairman called on Nigerians to support the NDC, describing it as a peaceful and rapidly growing political platform focused on people-centred governance.
