The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has confirmed that Nasir El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna State, is currently in its custody.

 

The Head, Media and Public Communications and also Spokesperson of the ICPC, J. Okor Odey stated this in a press release made available to journalists via the Whatsapp group.

 

“The Commission states that as of the close of work on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, Malam Nasir El-Rufai was being held by the ICPC in connection with ongoing investigations”.
