The Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji says it will commence its final outdoor field training exercise codenamed Exercise Ubiak-Isin for students of junior course one hundred.

A statement by the College Public Relations Officer, Lt Col Olumide Olukoya says the exercise is designed to assess student officer’s leadership skills, physical fitness, command and control capabilities, as well as application and critical knowledge of tactics.

It explains that the student officers will also be tested in unconventional warfare, application of critical thinking as well as counter-terrorist and counter-insurgency operations in view of the current security challenges.

The statement enjoins communities living around wusono-kazaure-angwan loya and camp salaya not to panic on seeing mass movement of military personnel, vehicles and equipment and hearing of explosives and small arms.

While necessary preventive measures have been put in place for general security and safety of the area, the general public is implored to keep off the vicinity of the exercise area between the first to fifth of December.

The statement advises locals in the general area to go about their daily routine activities and report any breach of security to nearest authority.
