Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has applauded the Renewed Hope Empowerment Programme, describing it as a strategic intervention that will significantly boost economic opportunities for women and youths across Kaduna State.
He stated this at the distribution of empowerment materials by the Speaker, House of Representatives l, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Speaker noted that he joined the Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani; the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen; the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas; the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli; and several senior government officials to witness the rollout of the empowerment packages.
Rt. Hon. Liman commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen, for sponsoring the initiative, describing it as a deliberate effort to uplift women and young people by equipping them with tools and resources that enhance their livelihoods, expand economic participation, and inspire self-reliance and innovation.
According to him, the intervention aligns with ongoing national efforts to promote productivity, equity and sustainable development.
The Speaker further highlighted the inclusion of traditional rulers, who received mobility support to aid their day-to-day engagements. He stressed that traditional institutions play a pivotal role in grassroots governance, community development, conflict mediation and social cohesion. Supporting their mobility, he said, will enhance their effectiveness and strengthen their interaction with local communities.
Rt. Hon. Liman described the programme as “inspiring and impactful,” adding that it reinforces the shared commitment of leaders at various levels toward empowering citizens and advancing sustainable development across Kaduna State and beyond.
