A delegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum has reaffirmed its support for President Tinubu’s efforts to tackle insecurity.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Media Adviser to the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma.
The statement said the forum made the commitment during a visit to Kebbi State to express solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to reiterate the governors’ collective support to the government’s renewed efforts to restore security, protect citizens, and strengthen the rule of law across Nigeria.
According to the release the delegation led by Chairman APC Governors Forum, Hope Uzodinma, emphasized that security is a shared responsibility that requires coordinated action between the federal and state governments, security agencies, traditional institutions, and communities.
The forum however, praised the dedication of servicemen and women working to protect lives and property and commended ongoing efforts to refine intelligence-led operations, improve rapid response capabilities, and enhance civil–military cooperation.
The Governors forum also reiterated their belief that sustainable peace requires both decisive security action and long-term social and economic strategies.
They pledged to work hand-in-hand with President Tinubu’s administration to ensure that policies are effectively implemented at the grassroots level and that successes are replicated across states.
