The newly inducted UAV pilots

The Nigerian Airforce-NAF has charged personnel to serve with professionalism and execute precise missions in the discharge of their duties.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke gave the charge at the graduation and winging ceremony of UAV operator course four, batch ‘B’ held at the Airforce base in Kaduna.

Air Marshal Sunday Aneke explained that the training of UAV pilots came at a critical juncture that carries the weight of the nation’s trust and immense expectations.

Represented by the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, the Air Chief reminded the graduands that they now form part of a greater mission to prevent security threats and safeguard lives.

“The systems you operate are instruments of intelligence and security, crucial for safeguarding lives and restoring hope in our communities”

Air Marshal Aneke noted that for fifty years, the 401 flying training school has been pivotal in transforming officers into extraordinary aviators.

He therefore commended the Commander of the school for his commitment in ensuring that the NAF remains at the cutting edge of modern warfare, as well as his dedication to empowering the UAV pilots.

Earlier in his address, Commander 401 flying training school, Air Commodore Nasiru Sa’idu disclosed that the graduands were now fully equipped to operate UAVs safely and effectively to achieve mission objectives.

He encouraged the graduands to stay focused, motivated and strive for excellence in their future endeavours.

Nine UAV pilots successfully graduated and were inducted after undergoing over two years intensive training.
