Jigawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to training and retraining youths in various skills to make them self-reliant.
Governor Umar Namadi stated this during the graduation ceremony of 160 youths trained in different trades by the Kafin Hausa Unity Forum.
He explained that the state government has introduced several programmes aimed at empowering unemployed youths across the state.
Governor Namadi commended the Kafin Hausa Unity Forum for organizing the skills training initiative and supporting government efforts toward job creation.
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment packages given to them.

In his address, the Chairman of Kafin Hausa local government council, Alhaji Abdullahi Na layi said he is impressed with the effort of the unity forum in organizing the training program and pledged to continue supporting unemployed youths in the area.
Also speaking, the chairman of Kafin Hausa unity forum, Malam Abdullahi Suleman said the beneficiaries which include were selected from the eleven political wards in the area.
The empowerment packages include sewing machines, electric cookers, tiles making tools, laptop computers and tailoring materials and shoes making.
Other materials also include baking, women hand bags,solar installation tools among others.
The Governor also paid unscheduled inspection visit to construction sites of model Tsangaya school and government day technical school.
Namadi who expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the sites, called on contractors handling the projects to ensure the completion of the projects as scheduled.
