Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the appointment of Mr. Bature Sunday Likoro as the new Agwom Kamuru, following the passing of the former traditional ruler, His Highness Yohanna Sidi Kukah, on December 18, 2024.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Sadiq Mamman Lagos, on Tuesday.

The statement said Mr. Likoro was appointed as a Third Class Chief, born on August 15, 1958, and holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration from Kaduna Polytechnic.

Alhaji Mamman Lagos described Mr. Likoro as a respected community leader with a strong record of service and dedication to community development, noting his ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

The statement added that the appointment takes immediate effect, while arrangements for the installation ceremony and presentation of the staff of office will be announced later.

Governor Uba Sani congratulated the new Agwom Kamuru on his appointment and wished him success and divine guidance as he assumes his traditional duties.
