Kaduna State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has unveiled new community development initiatives designed to address electricity shortages and inadequate water supply across Makera Constituency.
In a statement by the Speaker said the projects were in line with Governor Uba Sani’s commitment for extending the dividends of democracy to grassroots communities.
According to Hon.Liman, a delegation of key stakeholders from Makera Constituency, led by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Bashir Adamu Nababa, has disbursed ₦10 million for the execution of projects that will directly benefit residents.

The intervention includes upgrading the Unguwan Mission Community borehole in Makera Ward into a modern solar-powered facility to guarantee residents reliable access to clean and safe water.

Four transformers across the constituency are also being repaired to restore and stabilise power supply in several communities. The affected areas are:
Down Quarters Community, Makera Ward
Sokoto Road, Kakuri Hausa Ward
Unguwan Barde, Barnawa Ward
Kachia Road/Area Command, benefiting both Makera and Barnawa Wards

Hon. Liman noted that contractors have already been mobilised to the borehole site, while engineers have commenced immediate repairs on the transformers following the release of funds.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Makera Constituency for their support and assures them of his administration’s commitment to improve community welfare through responsive leadership and sustainable development.
