The Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the National Population Commission-NPC, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi says the Commission will conduct a digital housing and population census exercise.

She stated this at a town hall meeting, in continuation of her state-wide sensitization visit on the upcoming housing and population census, held in Sabon Gari Local Government Council.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi disclosed that local residents would be selected as enumerators for the exercise.

The Federal Commissioner therefore solicited for the support of traditional and religious leaders, as well as security personnel and other stakeholders for a hitch-free census.

In a remark, Executive Chairman of Sabon Gari LGA, Jamilu Albani, who was represented by his deputy, Kamilu Abdulkarim commended Hajiya Sa’adatu Dogonbauchi for the sensitization visit and pledged the Council’s commitment and support for the successful conduct of the exercise.

The visit is aimed at ensuring that people of the State are well informed on the importance and modalities of the upcoming digital census.
