President Rotary Club of Kaduna Metropolitian, Rotarian Luqman Babatunde has called on individuals and groups to continue to support the government at all level with charitable works that will bring to an end the current hardship in the society.
The President made the call while recognizing the National President, National Agricultural Mechanised Farmers Cooperative of Nigeria, NAMCON, Alhaji Aliyu Waziri for his contributions to humanity.
According to the President who also doubles as the President Rotary Action Group for Peace, Kaduna State Chapter, the contribution of Alhaji Waziri in assisting the plight of the less privileged and the vulnerable ones in the society is not left unnoticed.
He said that the Club under his watch would continue to identify and recognize individuals and personalities worthy of such gestures.
Rotarian Babatunde pointed out that Rotary Club of Kaduna Metropolitian has mapped out programs that would have direct bearing on the people of Kaduna State in line with Rotary club international standard.
He said some of the projects to be executed include the distribution of desks, uniforms and writing materials to the less privileged children in some schools in Kaduna, among others and urged the public to support them.
Commenting, the National President of NAMCON, Alhaji Aliyu Waziri who is the Turakin Tudun Wada Kaduna, applauded the efforts of Rotary Club in its charity and humanitarian contributions to the society.
He said, the recognition given to him by the Club would encourage him to do more in the areas of Agriculture, Food and employments of people in the society, with particular reference to the youths, women and children.
