The newly elected member of the House of Representatives for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Mr. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu has pledged to run an inclusive administration, promising to engage all stakeholders and represent every segment of the constituency fairly and equitably.
Bagudu made the pledge in a statement shortly after being declared winner following his victory in the concluded by- election.
He attributed his success at the polls to divine intervention, while extending appreciation to supporters and stakeholders cut across religious and traditional leaders among others.
“It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude and humility that I bow before the Almighty God, the Supreme Commander of the universe, who in His infinite wisdom anointed and decided this victory. Indeed, it is not by strength nor by power, but by His grace that this moment has been made possible.”
Bagudu praised the Governor of Kaduna state Mallam Uba Sani , describing him as a father and leader whose unreserved support and encouragement turned what could have been an uphill task into a journey of confidence and faith.
He further expressed appreciation to members of the Kaduna State Election Committee, Chikun and Kajuru local governments as well as the Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Bagudu thanked the Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the state, local government, and ward levels, as well as party stakeholders across the constituency.
“Your dedication and leadership in prosecuting this project gave direction to our cause and this victory,” he stated.
Religious leaders and traditional rulers including His Royal Highness the Etsu Chikun, the Emir of Kajuru, and the Agwom Kufana were also acknowledged for their prayers, blessings, and fatherly support.
Bagudu also mentioned the Gbagyi, Adara, Kabilu, and Hausa-Fulani communities, praising them for their unity and overwhelming support during the election.
“You have shown once again that unity in diversity is our greatest strength in Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency,” he said.
In a call for unity, Bagudu reached out to his opponents in the election:
“To my brothers who contested this election, I call on you to join hands with me so that together, we can build a strong, united, and virile federal constituency. It is time to move Chikun and Kajuru forward.”
