Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has urged all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to commence financial preparations and ensure their travel documents are ready.
The advice follows the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) Post-Hajj Strategic Meeting with State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, where a tentative deposit of ₦8.5 million was recommended for intending pilgrims, pending final negotiations on service contracts.
In a statement, the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi, advised those without valid e-passports to apply promptly at the Nigeria Immigration Service, describing it as a key requirement for travel processing.
Nigeria has retained its allocation of 95,000 slots from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj, and Kaduna State’s quota is expected to remain unchanged.
Abdullahi also urged prospective pilgrims to await the official announcement on the commencement of registration in Kaduna State.
