The Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has called on All Progressive Congress social media influencers to actively promote the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu.

This appeal was made during a one-day capacity building training conducted for these influencers in Sokoto.

The Minister stressed that showcasing governmental accomplishments is essential in informing the public and reinforcing the credibility of the current administration.

At the training event, Goronyo articulated the significant role of the media in shaping public perception.

He pointed out that accurate reporting on governmental initiatives can greatly influence how citizens view various development projects across sectors stressing that it is a crucial aspect of fostering a supportive political environment.

The Sokoto Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, represented by his Deputy Idris Muhammad Gobir, echoed these sentiments and highlighted the importance of media professionals in political affairs, reinforcing that the state government prioritizes their involvement in governance.

Gobir urged the participants to counteract any negative narratives propagated by the opposition.

The state APC Chairman, Isah Sadiq Achida, also weighed in, encouraging influencers to enhance their promotional efforts for the government’s initiatives.

He pointed out that there are multiple projects in Sokoto needing visibility to effectively compare them against the previous administration’s record.

According to the Governor’s Director General on Media, Malam Abubakar Bawa, reiterated the commitment of both Governor Ahmed Aliyu and President Tinubu to elevate the capabilities of media practitioners.
