The Nigerian Defence Academy-NDA says it will conduct a range classification exercise for cadets of the seventy-three regular course at the Academy’s open range.
In a statement by the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Major Mohammed Maidawa says the exercise, which is scheduled to hold between the fourteenth to eighteenth of July, is designed to enhance the cadets’ skills in live firing scenarios, and will be instrumental in their training and preparedness.
The statement therefore urges local residents and communities to take note of the exercise schedule and not to panic by the sounds associated with live firing activities during the period.
It also advises farmers, herders and residents to avoid entering or trespassing into the exercise area.
The statement assures the general public that the NDA will adhere to public safety to prevent any accident.
