The Nigerian Air Force has Pledged Continuous Support to veterans during and after Service.
Chief of the Air staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar gave the assurance during the mid-year parley with retired veterans held at the Nigerian Air Force Base Kaduna.
Represented by the Chief of Administration, Air Vice Marshal I.Sani, the Air Chief explained that the parley was organised to connect with the veterans, bring them together and honour their sacrifices while in Service.

Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar therefore expressed appreciation to the retired veterans and the federal government for their continuous support to the Nigerian Air force.
Earlier in his welcome address, Air officer commanding Air training command, Air Vice Marshal Ahmad Yusuf Dari, noted that the parley was part of Chief of Air staff’s commitment to national unity, operational excellence and improving retired and serving veterans relations.
Air Vice Marshal Ahmad Yusuf Dari commended the Air Chief for introducing the Parley in January last year to bring together retired Veterans and serving veterans from different parts of Kaduna to observe medical services and receive lecture on issues involved in the life after retirement.

He maintained that the Chief of Air staff parley is aimed at appreciating the veterans for their services to the nation.
Delivering a lecture on hypertension, flight leutenant Aliyu Mohammed highlighted the importance of regular medical check up.

He encouraged the veterans to avoid the excessive intake of alcohol, smoking and maggi in food to minimize the risk of getting high blood pressure.
The event featured presentation of selected topics on issues related to lives of veterans during and after Service.
In a remark, Chairman Ex-Service men, Yusuf Usman appreciated the effort of the Chief of Air staff for organizing the event that brought together veterans with serving officers to share experience.
The occasion was attended by senior officers, serving and retired veterans from all parts of Kaduna State.
