The Nigerian Army has pledged sustained non-kinetic line of operations in communities within its areas of operation and beyond.
Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Olufemi Oluyede gave the assurance at the commissioning ceremony of a multi-purpose Science Laboratory at the Government Secondary School Jaji, Igabi LGA of Kaduna State.

Represented by Major General Kelvin Aligbe, the Army Chief explained that the project was a reflection of Army’s commitment to education and nation-building.
He identified education as critical in shaping the future of the country.
Lt General Olufemi Oluyede urged the students to make the most of the facility towards enhancing their educational well-being and that of prospective learners.
He therefore expressed his appreciation to the Government and people of Kaduna State for their continuos support to the Nigerian Army.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chief of civil-military affairs, Major General Gold Chibuisi noted that the project was part of Army’s commitment to national unity, operational excellence and improving civil military relations.
Represented by Brigadier General Bola Keji, General Chibuisi commended the school authority and people of the community for protecting the facility throughout the duration of the project.
In a remark, Principal of the School, Mallam Umar Usman commended the Army for the gesture, and solicited for more projects in the school.
The commissioning of the renovated multi-purpose science laboratory is part of Army’s civil-military co-operation initiative, as part of activities lined up for this year’s Nigerian Army Day Celebration-NADCEL.
The laboratory was renovated and equipped with modern equipment such as biology, chemistry and physics equipment and consumables, a solar powered borehole and a 5KVA power generating set installed at the School.
