President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, ahead of the 2025 BRICS Summit.

The Nigerian leader touched down at the Galeão Air Force Base where he was warmly received by Brazilian Foreign Liaison Officer, Colonel Juliana Barros.

President Tinubu is scheduled to participate in the plenary session of the summit on Saturday, July 5, at 10 a.m.

On Sunday, July 6, he will deliver Nigeria’s national statement during the general debate of the summit.

In addition to the main proceedings, President Tinubu is expected to hold strategic sideline meetings with leaders of other nations, including Cuba, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

The meetings are aimed at boosting diplomatic and economic cooperation between Nigeria and these countries.
