Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, NNPP Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II were among the dignitaries who attended the funeral prayers for Galadiman Kano Abbas Sunusi.
The revered figure passed away at 91 after a prolonged illness in Kano.
The Chief Imam of Kano, Professor Sani Zahradeen, led the funeral prayers, which were also attended by Abbas Sunusi’s eldest son, Abdullahi Abbas, chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Kano State.
Other notable personalities who attended the burial at Gandun Albasa graveyard include Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin, and Nasiru Aliko Koki, representing APC National Chairman Ganduje.
Late Abbas Sunusi was a prominent figure in the Emirate, serving as Wamban Kano and senior Councilor under the late Emir Alhaji Ado Bayero.
He is survived by his wives and 35 children.
His contributions to the development of Kano State and the Emirate will be remembered for generations to come.
