The Kebbi State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has felicitates with the State Government and Muslims community in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The council in a press statement signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar and Secretary, Ismail Adebayo rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah in the state for the completion of the 29 days fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan and Eid -Eiil-Fitr celebration .
It called for peaceful coexistence and harmony among people in the state in line with the teachings of Islam and the holy prophet bearing in mind the significance of Ramadan and Eid-El-Fitr. “We urge you to sustain the efforts made by the present administration of Governor Nasir Idris to foster peace and harmony among people in the 21 local government areas of the state”.
The council commended the state government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris for the food items distributed to Muslims and none Muslims during the month of Ramadan.
It called on people of the state to support the government in various projects it has embarked on for the economic development of the state and its people while wishing them a peaceful Sallah celebration.
