Kauru Emirate Council in Kaduna State has reiterated its commitment to security, urging residents to remain vigilant despite the government’s recent progress in tackling banditry, kidnappings, and violent attacks.
The Emir of Kauru, Alhaji Zakari Ya’u Usman II, stressed the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining peace and security during his Eid-el-Fitr message at his palace in Kauru.
Alhaji Zakari Ya’u Usman also warned against informants aiding criminals and encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities.
Regarding healthcare, the Emir urged parents to prioritize their children’s vaccinations to safeguard them against preventable diseases.
He also encouraged pregnant women to attend regular medical checkups and advised the general public to seek timely medical care to reduce the risk of illnesses like high blood pressure and diabetes.
According to him, The Emirate Council expressed appreciation to the state government for the ongoing Pambeguwa-Kauru road project and support for farmers through fertilizer distribution.
However, the Emir appealed for additional road projects, including Kauru to Mariri in Lere LGA, Unguwan Ganye to Dokan Karji connecting to Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru LGA, and 10 kilometers of internal roads in Kauru town.
He also requested the completion of the second phase of the Kauru Palace renovation, particularly in areas requiring urgent attention, especially during the rainy season.
The Emir prays for continued peace and prosperity in the coming years.

Similarly, the Emirate Council Secretary, Malam Muhammad Sani Suleiman (Danburan Kauru) expressed gratitude to those who participated in the Eid celebrations and extends condolences to families affected by insecurity.
