President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered a full-scale investigation into the tanker explosion that claimed several lives and caused multiple accidents in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday night.

This was contained in a statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The President, in the statement, expressed deep sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident, which occurred during peak hours.

President Tinubu also directed that victims receiving treatment across various medical facilities in the Federal Capital Territory be given priority attention to ensure their full recovery.

The President further instructed security agencies, particularly those responsible for road safety, to intensify surveillance and enhance traffic management at the major entry and exit points of Abuja to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

President Tinubu offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the departed and asked God to grant their families strength and comfort in this difficult period.
