The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it has successfully concluded registration of 3,155 intending pilgrims for this year’s hajj.

The Director General of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Danbappa, disclosed this on Thursday in Kano while receiving management team of the Immigration Service in his office.

Danbappa noted that the board has completed all necessary arrangements, including hajj induction course, documentation and packing of hand luggage.

“The Board is now in the process of issuing visas to the registered pilgrims.

He commend the state government for its continuous support of the Board’s efforts in ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.

On her part, the newly appointed Controller of Immigration Services in charge of Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Command (MAKIA), Aisha Nda said they were at the board to present an award of excellence to the Director General.

She said the service would continue to collaborate and cooperate in managing migration-related matters during hajj operation.
