The Special Assistant to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Bashir Aliyu Buhari

Commonwealth Society of Nigeria has been commended for conferring an ambassadorial title on philanthropist Bashar Aliyu Buhari, Special Assistant to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanity.

The commendation came from the  Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FRCN Chapel, and its FM-affiliated stations across Northern Nigeria, Comrade Umar Adamu Sarkinfada during a press briefing in Kaduna.

Describing the honour as well-deserved, Sarkinfada highlighted Bashar Aliyu Buhari’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian services, particularly his efforts in supporting the less privileged and fostering community development.

He further expressed the NUJ’s full support for the upcoming investiture ceremony, which is set to take place early next month, emphasizing that such recognition serves as a motivation for more individuals to contribute meaningfully to society.

The NUJ Chapel Chairman also called on wealthy individuals to emulate the Bashar Aliyu Buhari’s generosity by extending a helping hand to the poor and needy, stressing that collective efforts in philanthropy play a vital role in nation-building and social development.
